Is It A Good Time to Buy or Sell Real Estate in Athens Georgia?

 Michelle DeRepentigny of ERA Classic City Realty answers How's the real estate market around Athens, Georgia? Graphic of a House in a shopping cart"What's the real estate market like right now?"  Today was grocery shopping day for me and I got asked a variation of that question twice in the 30+- minutes I was at the store!  While talking to a client who has purchased several investment homes from me over the years, we actually drew a small crowd of people and had a mini real estate seminar in the produce department at the Ingles in Hull.

 I'm  finding that my answer to that question has many variables these days and there is no short version, it really depends on your personal situation.  For some people, it really is a great time to buy or sell and then there are some that probably should not even be dipping their big toe in that water right now.  It all comes down to your needs, motivation and personal financial circumstances and that hasn't changed much, in my opinion.    

There are some fabulous deals available in the Athens, Georgia area real estate market right now, but the terms and conditions set by the seller's can be tricky, so make sure you know exactly what you are committing to before going under contract (binding agreement).  So my recommendation is:  if you are considering buying or selling, let's take a look at your personal picture and see what develops.
