Cafe Marigold - Winterville, Georgia's first coffee shop & cafe

 Marigold Cafe in Winterville GA features free WI FI, great coffee & desserts, the perfect real estate meet up place near Athens Last Saturday I was driving from East Athens down Cherokee Road and almost did a u turn in the road when for the first time, I spotted "Winterville, Georgia's First Coffee Shop & Cafe" - the Cafe Marigold!  

Interior of the Marigold Cafe in Winterville I was even more delighted when (after safely navigating a turnaround) I discovered owners Bubba & Susan Cowart running this beauty!  Bubba & Susan are long-term area residents and are providing a much needed break from reality in their adorable new cafe, opened in January 2008.

The coffee is wonderful and Susan's homemade deserts are fabulous - strawberry cake HIGHLY recommended (sorry, I ate it before thinking about photographing it)! Cafe Marigold is open Tuesday though Saturdays with a variety of soups, salad, sandwiches and more.  They have super indoor and patio seating available and FREE WI-FI.
